Job Overview: A law firm in Wichita, KS, is seeking a dedicated Lead Attorney to manage and oversee operations within the firm. The ideal candidate will handle a high-volume personal injury caseload, maintain client relationships, and ensure compliance with legal standards. This role involves strategic planning, team collaboration, and effective communication with both internal departments and external entities.

  • Duties:

    • Manage a high-volume personal injury caseload through the pre-litigation claim process.
    • Communicate frequently with team members from multiple legal supporting departments.
    • Meet regularly with the Regional General Manager for office development and strategic planning.
    • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
    • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as required.
    • Ensure the accuracy of all prepared documents to meet legal standards.
    • Comply with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
  • Requirements:

    • Active Bar license in Kansas.
    • Minimum 3 years of civil practice experience, preferably in personal injury law.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
    • Commitment to providing superb, responsive, and compassionate client service.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and tech-savvy capabilities.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective communication and relationship management.
  • Education and Certifications:

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Active Bar membership in good standing in Kansas.
