Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload, managing files and preparing for court appearances and depositions
• Draft legal documents, including written discovery, reports, and motions
• Conduct depositions and represent clients in court, under partner guidance
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategies and trial preparation
• Engage in continuous legal research and maintain a strong understanding of legal precedents
• Attend client meetings and assist with case management
• Contribute to firm-wide training and professional development initiatives

Requirements:

• 0-7 years of experience in civil litigation or insurance defense
• Experience or interest in taking depositions and participating in trials
• Ability to independently manage cases and work in a collaborative team environment
• Strong advocacy and verbal communication skills
• Strong research and legal writing capabilities
• Professional demeanor with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ventura County ties or interest in relocating to Ventura, CA

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active or in-progress California Bar License

Certifications:

• California Bar License (active or pending)
