Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Plaintiff Trial Attorney with a strong background in personal injury trial work. The role involves managing a docket of complex commercial and non-commercial cases, working directly with clients, and handling all aspects of litigation from case development to trial.

Location:

  • San Antonio, TX

Duties:

  • Manage a docket of 30-40 personal injury cases, including both commercial and non-commercial cases.
  • Work closely with clients from case development through to demand processes, negotiations, and litigation.
  • Handle first-chair trial responsibilities, including depositions with corporate defendants, liability experts, and medical experts.
  • Provide mentorship under management while working on top and complex cases.
  • Participate in and contribute to trial teams for high-profile cases.
  • Perform legal research, case analysis, and develop litigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Active Texas Bar License in good standing.
  • Proven personal injury trial experience, including first-chair trial responsibilities.
  • Extensive deposition experience, particularly with corporate defendants and expert witnesses.
  • Strong understanding of general law practices and litigation processes.
  • Ability to manage a heavy case load in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury law, specifically in trial and litigation.
  • Strong negotiation and legal research skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
