Litigation Attorney

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload with a focus on insurance bad faith, personal injury, medical malpractice, and employment discrimination cases.
• Work on pre-trial tasks including strategy development, motion practice, and discovery.
• Assist in trial preparation and develop courtroom skills to independently manage cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda with a high degree of clarity and legal precision.
• Engage in direct client communication, providing counsel and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with colleagues and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial tactics.
• Handle both state and federal court cases, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and regulations.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance bad faith, personal injury, medical malpractice, and/or employment discrimination.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Strong pre-trial skills, including case strategy development, motion preparation, and discovery management.
• Desire to develop trial skills and experience in handling courtroom proceedings.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle a demanding caseload.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Washington State Bar or ability to obtain licensure.
