Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support to clients regarding immigration, naturalization, and citizenship processes.

  • Conduct legal research on immigration law cases, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

  • Draft, review, and file various legal documents, including motions to reopen and appeals (AAO, EOIR, BIA).

  • Represent clients at Immigration Court hearings, USCIS interviews, and related proceedings.

  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to manage case workload effectively.

  • Stay informed of evolving immigration laws and regulations, providing timely advice to clients.

  • Assist clients in understanding and navigating the intricacies of immigration processes in both English and Spanish.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience practicing immigration law.

  • Admission to the California State Bar.

  • Proficient in legal research and familiar with legal search engines.

  • Experience managing Immigration Court and USCIS caseloads.

  • Ability to write motions, appeals, and waivers related to inadmissibility.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

  • Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines.

  • Reliable, positive attitude with a passion for client service.

  • Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel within the Los Angeles area.

  • Criminal defense experience is a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Valid California State Bar License.
