Location:

Duties:

  • Manage complex litigation matters from start to finish, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with team members to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and manage all aspects of discovery
  • Prepare and argue motions and briefs before state and federal courts
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case progress and negotiate settlements when appropriate
  • Stay current on legal developments and trends in commercial litigation
  • Assist with business development, client presentations, and networking activities

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience practicing litigation law, with a preference for commercial litigation experience
  • Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make strategic decisions
  • Experience with electronic discovery and litigation support tools is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington State Bar (or eligibility to apply)
