Senior Litigation Attorney - Commercial Litigation

Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced and highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join its commercial litigation team in New York, NY. Duties:

• Manage all phases of commercial litigation, from case assessment through to resolution
• Represent clients in diverse cases, including contract disputes, business conflicts, and white-collar defense
• Draft, file, and manage all court documents, including pleadings and motions
• Conduct discovery processes, including depositions, document production, and interrogatories
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in mediations and arbitrations
• Serve as lead counsel in trials and hearings, representing clients effectively in court
• Maintain ongoing client communication, offering legal guidance and case updates

Requirements:

• 8-12 years of commercial litigation experience, including substantial first-chair trial experience
• Strong foundation in contract and business dispute management
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in New York or Pennsylvania, depending on office location
• Background in white-collar defense is preferred
• Clerkship experience is a plus but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active law license in New York or Pennsylvania (depending on office location)
