A prominent law firm located in Greensboro, NC, is looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group, focusing on Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation. Duties:

• Manage and run patent litigation cases from start to finish.
• Take depositions and handle expert witness coordination.
• Prepare and argue motions in court, including briefing and legal research.
• Lead PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings or trial cases.
• Supervise junior associates and paralegals on casework and development.
• Collaborate with clients to craft litigation strategies and solutions.
• Provide insightful analysis of legal issues within the realm of IP litigation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of IP litigation experience, including managing cases, motions practice, depositions, and trial proceedings.
• Proven ability to handle complex case management and demonstrate leadership skills in managing junior associates or paralegals.
• Preference for candidates with an engineering background and USPTO admission.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and persuasion.
• Superior organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, or ability to obtain licensure promptly.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Outstanding academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO (preferred).

Skills:
