A law firm seeks a dedicated and driven Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team. In this role, you will manage a variety of civil litigation cases, specializing in prosecuting insurance subrogation claims. You will oversee your caseload from inception to resolution, working closely with senior attorneys. Duties:

  • Independently manage and litigate civil cases, with a focus on insurance subrogation matters.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and execute litigation strategies.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and legal arguments.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing regular case updates.
  • Assist in the creation of educational content for client newsletters and presentations.
  • Oversee case management, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
  • Attend inspections, assessments, and evaluations related to litigation cases.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance subrogation or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and represent clients in court.
  • Experience in drafting and filing legal documents and motions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving favorable settlements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
