A law firm seeks a licensed attorney residing in Virginia to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of substantive legal experience and hold an additional active license to practice in one or more of the following states: Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia. We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and innovative professional who demonstrates energy and determination in their legal practice.

Duties:

  • Independently manage cases from initial filing to resolution.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve optimal outcomes for clients through thorough case analysis and ongoing investigation.
  • Engage in substantive communication with courts, administrative offices, financial institutions, and clients.
  • Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.
  • Represent clients at hearings and trials as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Active license to practice law in Virginia, with additional licensure in the specified states preferred.
  • Prior experience in one or more of these areas is preferred: Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Current membership in the Virginia State Bar, with additional licensure preferred.
