Junior and Mid-level IP Associate

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking junior and mid-level associates (1-5 years of experience) to join its Dallas office in the Technology Transactions and Privacy practice. Ideal candidates will have experience drafting license agreements, SaaS agreements, privacy policies, and data processing terms. A background in computer science, engineering, or science is preferred, though not required. Location:

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate technology-related agreements, including license agreements, SaaS agreements, privacy policies, and data processing terms.
• Advise clients on privacy law matters, including data protection and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Assist in reviewing and analyzing technology transactions, including intellectual property considerations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients on complex technology and privacy matters.
• Provide legal advice and solutions tailored to clients’ business needs.
• Work on cross-functional teams to address legal and business challenges.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in technology transactions and privacy law.
• Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex legal documents.
• Interest in technology, data privacy, and intellectual property law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• A college degree in computer science, engineering, or science is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar in Texas.

Skills:

• Expertise in technology transactions, including licensing and SaaS agreements.
• Knowledge of privacy law and data protection regulations.
