Job Overview:
A well-regarded law firm is seeking an experienced litigation associate to join their team. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of complex litigation matters, including fiduciary obligations, pension plans, employee benefits, constitutional law, and various types of commercial disputes. This position provides an opportunity to handle diverse cases, work alongside experienced attorneys, and receive substantial professional growth in a hybrid work environment.

Location:

  • Irvine, CA

Duties:

  • Manage and work on diverse litigation matters, including fiduciary disputes, pension plan issues, and employee benefits.
  • Draft, review, and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and legal briefs in both state and federal courts.
  • Participate in eDiscovery processes and assist with document management.
  • Assist in deposition preparation and trial support.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients to meet case goals and deadlines.
  • Take ownership of significant litigation projects and contribute to case strategy and execution.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong experience drafting legal documents such as discovery responses, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Preferred experience with eDiscovery and depositions.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proven team player with the ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California required.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in legal software and eDiscovery tools preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
