A law firm in Boston is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in insurance coverage analysis and related litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar and related federal Bars, and prior experience at a regional, national, or well-regarded local firm. They should possess excellent writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills to excel in insurance policy review, legal research, opinion writing, discovery, third-party discovery, and brief writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze insurance policies to determine coverage and advise clients accordingly.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda on insurance coverage issues.
  • Prepare coverage opinions and provide advice to clients on complex insurance matters.
  • Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses related to insurance litigation.
  • Participate in all aspects of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, and hearings.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client management.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and related federal Bars in good standing.
  • 2-4 years of experience in insurance coverage analysis and related litigation.
  • Strong academic background with high academic achievement.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Experience at a regional, national law firm, or well-regarded local firm preferred.
  • Membership in Bars of other New England states or New York Bar a plus.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and related federal Bars.
