Duties:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of real estate clients, leveraging portable business.
  • Draft and negotiate complex retail and shopping center leases.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements for retail and other real estate transactions.
  • Prepare and review complex real estate documents, including easements and restrictive covenants.
  • Advise clients on strategic matters related to leasing, acquisitions, and real estate litigation.
  • Provide high-level legal counsel and solutions to clients on various real estate issues.
  • Oversee and mentor junior attorneys and support staff in real estate practice areas.
  • Foster client relationships and business development opportunities within the real estate sector.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in real estate law with a strong emphasis on complex transactions and client management.
  • Proven track record of managing a portable business and client relationships.
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex real estate documents.
  • Strong background in advising on leasing, acquisition, and litigation matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills in complex real estate transactions.
  • Strong client management and business development capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail and commercial real estate leases, purchase agreements, and related documents.
