Duties:

  • Collaborate with cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams.
  • Provide expert legal advice on U.S. federal income tax matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related documentation and agreements.
  • Advise clients on tax implications of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and capital market transactions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on tax issues.
  • Represent clients in tax audits, disputes, and litigation.
  • Stay updated with developments in federal income tax law and regulations.
  • Engage in business development activities and cultivate client relationships.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of law firm experience focusing on U.S. federal income tax matters.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for admission.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.
