The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and special needs planning. This role involves representing clients in the estate planning process, drafting key documents, and managing trust and probate administration matters.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in the estate planning process, including providing guidance on estate strategies and goals.
  • Draft and review various estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
  • Assist clients with trust funding and provide advice on proper asset management and distribution.
  • Manage and oversee trust and probate administration matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analytical support for complex estate planning issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop and implement estate plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and concise explanations of legal processes and documents.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in trusts and estates, including estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and special needs planning.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in New York State or the ability to waive into the NYS Bar.
