Job Overview:
A law firm based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Financial Services team. The role focuses on renewable energy project finance transactions, working primarily with lenders and tax equity investors. This position offers an opportunity to work on impactful, high-level financial projects within a supportive and dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

  • Represent lenders and tax equity investors in renewable energy project finance transactions.
  • Advise clients on structuring, negotiating, and executing project finance agreements.
  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documentation for financing arrangements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage complex financial transactions.
  • Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry trends impacting project finance.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in project finance or a related legal field.
  • Expertise in renewable energy finance transactions is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing responsibilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar is preferred (or eligibility to obtain admission).

  • Exceptional legal drafting and negotiation skills.
