A law firm in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Business Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of litigation experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business litigation, excellent legal research and writing skills, and the ability to interpret complex statutes and regulations.

Duties:

  • Interpret state and federal statutes, court rulings, and regulations related to business litigation and provide legal analysis and conclusions.
  • Document file activity in accordance with the firm’s and client’s policies and procedures.
  • Review legal documents for relevancy, accuracy, and redaction, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and responsively with clients to maintain and develop client relationships.
  • Develop proficiency in the firm’s software, internal operations, and processes.
  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, and briefs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide detailed analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues on case development and strategy.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar and in good standing.
  • 1-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in business litigation.
  • Prior experience in Federal Courts and North Carolina State Courts as counsel for litigants or as a law clerk is preferred.
  • Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with business litigation and related legal issues.
  • Familiarity with the firm’s software and internal processes.
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
  • Experience with drafting and reviewing complex legal documents.
