Job Overview:

A respected law firm in New York City is seeking a dedicated Real Estate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join its team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for attorneys passionate about residential real estate transactions, with a focus on affordable housing and community development projects. The position involves representing buyers and sellers in closings and offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment where proactive and sophisticated client service is key.

Duties:

  • Represent residential real estate buyers and sellers in closings.
  • Handle residential real estate transactions, including negotiations, contract drafting, and title review.
  • Work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide proactive and responsive service to clients.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on complex transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and drafting of memos, contracts, and other documents.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in residential real estate law or related practice.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism and client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • New York State Bar Admission (Required).
  • Admission to New Jersey Bar or any other state bar (Preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in residential real estate law and transactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience with business development and client relationship management is a plus.
