Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Wealth Preservation Attorney to join its dedicated Wealth Preservation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning and administration, as well as excellent communication skills. Location:

  • Austin, TX

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss estate planning needs, questions, and concerns.
  • Draft, review, and analyze estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Represent clients throughout the probate and estate administration process, including drafting documents and appearing in probate court.
  • Advise clients on transfer tax implications and create strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Prepare explanatory memos on estate planning concepts for clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys on complex legal matters, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in estate planning and administration.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to counsel clients with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Prior experience in probate court is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (or ability to obtain licensure).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in estate planning, drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Knowledge of probate law and estate administration.
  • Experience advising clients on tax implications related to estates and wealth transfer.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients.
