Job Overview: A reputable law firm located in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Litigation Attorney with experience in workers' compensation law. This role involves managing a caseload of workers' compensation claims and defending clients through various phases of litigation. The ideal candidate is a self-driven legal professional with strong litigation skills and a focus on defending employers and insurers.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution.
• Draft legal pleadings and perform legal research as required.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Attend and represent clients in hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure a comprehensive defense strategy.

Requirements:

• An active license to practice law in Illinois is mandatory.
• Licenses to practice law in both Illinois and Missouri are highly preferred.
• A strong interest in defending workers' compensation claims is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in high-pressure environments.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Illinois (Missouri preferred).
