Family Law Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and support cases
• Prepare and review legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements
• Conduct legal research and provide expert legal advice to clients
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
• Manage a full caseload while maintaining high standards of client service
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience in family law
• Proven experience handling family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and support
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and work efficiently under pressure
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
• A team-oriented approach with a commitment to collaboration and excellence

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in South Dakota
