A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Memphis, Tennessee office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney with at least two years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in Tennessee and ready to take on a dynamic caseload in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee a diverse range of litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Represent clients in court, depositions, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Develop strategies for legal cases and work with senior attorneys to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Provide clear, timely, and strategic counsel to clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure case progression and resolution.
  • Strengthen client relationships by maintaining consistent communication and addressing their legal needs.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
  • License: Must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee.
  • Legal Expertise: Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial processes.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in drafting legal documents and client communication.
  • Client Relations: Proven experience managing client expectations and fostering strong client relationships.
  • Case Management: Ability to handle multiple complex cases efficiently while maintaining high standards of organization and attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Tennessee Bar Association.
