A law firm seeks a highly motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join its busy personal injury team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level attorney eager to grow in the legal field, particularly in the area of personal injury law. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, organized, and possess strong writing skills, with a passion for delivering results and contributing to the firm’s success. A civil judicial clerkship is preferred but not required.

Duties:

  • Assist with personal injury cases from start to finish, including case preparation, research, and drafting legal documents.
  • Draft and review complaints, motions, and other legal documents as needed.
  • Communicate directly with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
  • Support senior attorneys in discovery, hearings, and other litigation activities.
  • Work on case management, including tracking deadlines and progress.
  • Participate in client meetings and negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda for review.
  • Assist with trial preparation and attend court as needed.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to client service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey or eligible for admission.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the New Jersey Bar, or eligible for admission if licensed in another state.

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases with varying complexities.
  • Good interpersonal and client communication skills.
  • Familiarity with personal injury law is preferred.
  • Experience with civil judicial clerkship is a plus.
