Duties:

• Represent clients in all stages of criminal cases, from arraignment to post-conviction.
• Develop tailored defense strategies based on individual client needs.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analyze case law to support arguments.
• Prepare and file legal documents such as motions, briefs, and other necessary court filings.
• Negotiate plea deals with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Present persuasive arguments in court and advocate for clients during hearings and trials.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout their cases.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure comprehensive legal representation.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in criminal law.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in criminal defense or prosecution.
• Proven skills in legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Strong courtroom advocacy and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
