Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join a high-performing team in Irvine. This position offers a dynamic opportunity for legal professionals to grow within complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on insurance, municipal/public entity, and commercial matters. Ideal candidates will work closely with seasoned partners while progressing toward partnership in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Location:

• Irvine, California

Duties:

• Manage all phases of civil litigation, including:

  • Drafting and arguing dispositive motions

  • Responding to discovery

  • Preparing witnesses

  • Conducting depositions

  • Attending court appearances

• Collaborate with senior attorneys across offices

• Handle complex insurance, municipal/public entity, and commercial litigation cases

• Operate independently while contributing to a team-driven legal practice

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex civil litigation

• Prior involvement in insurance litigation, municipal/public entity cases, and/or construction matters preferred

• Active membership in the California Bar with license in good standing

• Ability to work independently and remotely when needed

• Comfortable working with attorneys in various office locations

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar (required)
