Job Overview:
A law firm is looking for a passionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Bilingual Associate Attorney to join its legal team in Santa Ana, CA. The firm specializes in immigration law and handles various stages of immigration cases, including removal proceedings, USCIS Asylum Petitions, USCIS Family-Based Petitions, Adjustment of Status (AOS) interviews, work permits, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, legal research skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team setting. This position is open to newly licensed California attorneys, as training will be provided.

Location:

  • Santa Ana, CA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all aspects of immigration law, including USCIS Asylum Petitions, Family-Based Petitions, AOS interviews, and work permits
  • Assist in removal proceedings and related immigration matters
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including petitions, applications, and motions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and associates to ensure the successful management of cases
  • Maintain case files and meet all deadlines
  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to provide the best client outcomes
  • Participate in client consultations and assist in providing legal advice
  • Attend court hearings or USCIS interviews as required

Requirements:

  • 0-1 year of immigration law experience
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with clients and team members
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred)
  • Must be licensed to practice law in California (newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply)
  • Ability to relocate to Santa Ana, CA

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the California State Bar (Required)
