Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Chicago, IL, is seeking an experienced Of Counsel Insurance Coverage Attorney to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex insurance coverage issues for clients, particularly in areas such as Directors and Officers (D&O) liability, professional liability, cyber risk, financial institutions, and fidelity and crime. Duties:

• Review and analyze various insurance policies to identify coverage issues.
• Draft clear and concise coverage opinions, reservations of rights, and disclaimers.
• Manage insurance coverage litigation and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to devise effective legal strategies.
• Stay current with developments in insurance law and relevant case law.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance coverage law.
• Proven expertise in handling insurance coverage disputes, especially in D&O, professional liability, cyber, financial institutions, and fidelity/crime coverage.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Strong analytical ability to assess complex legal matters and provide effective solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar and in good standing.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Illinois State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and other relevant software.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
