Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in New York City, NY, is currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic mid-level associate to join its Finance Practice Group with a focus on the Energy Sector. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance and/or tax credit transactions. Duties:

• Drafting and negotiating complex transaction documents, including credit agreements and tax equity documents.
• Reviewing project documents, managing subject-matter specialist reviews, and closing transactions.
• Guiding renewable energy project finance, tax credit matters, and other renewable energy due diligence issues.
• Supporting clients in the successful execution of renewable energy deals and transactions.
• Assisting with advancing long-term strategic objectives for the energy sector practice.
• Collaborating closely with senior attorneys and other legal professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance and/or tax credit transactions.
• Strong background in renewable energy due diligence and project documentation.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collegial team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with the New York Bar.
• Timely admission to the New York Bar will be a condition of employment.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in New York.
