Associate Attorney - Commercial and Complex Litigation

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in commercial and complex litigation, with a focus on defending wage and hour claims. Duties

• Represent clients in wage and hour litigation, particularly in class action cases.
• Apply thorough knowledge of both California and federal wage and hour laws, including regulations regarding overtime, meals, and rest periods.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests with minimal supervision.
• Conduct depositions and manage motions related to discovery issues.
• Develop and implement comprehensive discovery plans effectively.
• Draft and review legal documents, including opposition motions for class certification in wage and hour cases.
• Interact professionally with clients, demonstrating competence in legal and strategic matters.
• Maintain strong communication and ensure diligent follow-through on all case-related activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of legal experience focused on defending wage and hour litigation, ideally with class action experience.
• In-depth understanding of California and federal wage and hour regulations.
• Proven ability to manage the discovery process and litigation strategies independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing.
