Position Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Liability Risk Management practice group. The role focuses on providing legal counsel in the area of insurance and liability risk management. This position involves working on complex insurance matters, conducting legal research, and advising on risk mitigation strategies. Collaboration with both internal teams and external clients will be a key component of this role.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice on commercial insurance coverage and liability risk management issues.
• Draft and negotiate policy wording for financial lines and other insurance policies.
• Advise clients and transactional teams on insurance aspects related to restructuring, litigation, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
• Conduct detailed legal research on liability and insurance regulations.
• Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and updating procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement effective insurance and risk management strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal experience, particularly in commercial insurance, litigation, or M&A.
• Proven ability to manage complex, time-sensitive projects.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent legal judgment.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
