Job Overview:
A highly respected law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Corporate Healthcare Transactional Associate Attorney to join a nationally recognized healthcare team. This role presents an opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced attorneys, advising dynamic healthcare clients on strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and joint ventures. The successful candidate will gain substantial transactional experience, build expertise in healthcare law, and develop direct client relationships while working on high-profile healthcare-related matters.

Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Duties:

  • Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, equity and asset acquisition transactions, private equity, venture capital, and joint ventures within the healthcare industry
  • Provide guidance on corporate matters such as business formations, capital raises, operational strategies, and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with senior partners to provide strategic solutions to healthcare clients
  • Assist clients in managing day-to-day corporate matters within the healthcare space
  • Participate in career development and training opportunities related to healthcare-specific transactional law
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, offering legal advice and transactional support

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity in healthcare
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions and take ownership of projects
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience in communicating directly with clients and third-party advisors
  • Candidates must be admitted to the bar in the state in which they are applying

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar

Skills:

  • Expertise in corporate healthcare transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to advise clients on operational strategies, formations, and capital raises
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
