This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the patent prosecution process, especially within the medical device and bioengineering fields. The ideal candidate should have a passion for innovation and possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence (AI), computer science, or similar technical disciplines.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications, focusing on medical devices and bioengineering innovations
• Respond to office actions and engage in patent-related correspondence
• Conduct prior art searches and assist in patentability assessments
• Collaborate in the preparation of legal opinions and strategies
• Provide expertise and advice on technical aspects of patent law
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the firm's clients

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Patent Agent
• Strong experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications
• Proficiency in responding to office actions and prior art searches
• Experience in medical devices, bioengineering, or related technical fields
• Ability to conduct in-depth research and analyze technical information
• Admitted to practice before the USPTO

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field

Certifications:

• USPTO registration required
