Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in San Francisco, CA, is actively seeking a dedicated and motivated Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its expanding team. The ideal candidate will bring 3-4 years of experience in labor and employment litigation, focusing on wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and general employment-related litigation. This position offers an opportunity to work within a highly regarded practice group, handling a diverse range of cases and providing legal counsel to clients across industries.

Duties:

  • Handle California wage and hour class action cases, PAGA claims, and individual employment litigation
  • Provide daily legal advice to clients on employment-related matters, including the creation and review of employee handbooks
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare motions for discovery, as well as take and defend depositions
  • Assist in trial preparation for both state and federal court cases
  • Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations
  • Foster strong client relationships and engage in business development activities
  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals in a dynamic, collegial environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of labor and employment litigation experience, with a focus on California law
  • Experience with wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and employment disputes
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in handling motion practice, depositions, and discovery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and provide day-to-day legal counsel to clients
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing

Certifications:

  • Active member of the California State Bar
