Duties:

• Represent municipalities in legal proceedings, including zoning, land use, contract disputes, and civil rights litigation.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft documents such as pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and other judicial proceedings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary.
• Oversee and manage discovery processes, including depositions and evidence review.
• Collaborate with supervising attorneys on case assignments and litigation strategy.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation, with a strong preference for cases involving governmental entities.
• Demonstrated expertise in municipal litigation, including familiarity with civil rights law, the Texas Tort Claims Act, and land use regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage tasks independently while working collaboratively within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
