Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Attorney with 4+ years of asbestos litigation experience. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload, appear in court, and demonstrate strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Job Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce legal deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
• Provide timely, accurate, high-quality work products that are compliant with firm standards.
• Successfully manage case deadlines and client expectations and perform duties as required.
• Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external contacts.
• Comply with all firm policies, practices, and ethical standards.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including prolonged computer work, digital/virtual conference calls, and meetings as needed.
• Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in Washington State is required; California admission is preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in asbestos litigation.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Proven ability to manage a case docket and appear in court.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Good business judgment and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and problem-solving.
