Junior Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Wappingers Falls, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks such as legal research, drafting motions and memoranda, client meetings, court appearances, and depositions. Duties:

• Conduct legal research to support cases and provide insights.
• Draft memoranda, motions, and other legal documents.
• Meet with clients to discuss case details and provide guidance.
• Represent clients in court for hearings and appearances.
• Assist in preparing for depositions and gathering necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize case progression.
• Maintain case files and manage deadlines to ensure timely submissions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• 1–3 years of prior legal experience, though recent law school graduates will be considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow in multiple areas of law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (required).

Skills:

• Legal research and writing expertise.
• Drafting and reviewing motions, memoranda, and legal briefs.
• Ability to conduct client meetings and effectively communicate case details.
• Experience with depositions and court appearances (preferred).
