  • Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Of Counsel to join its team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation, with a preference for those who have practiced at AmLaw 100 firms. The role involves supervising associates, collaborating with experts, and contributing to case strategy development.

  • Duties:

    • Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, lawyers, and third parties.
    • Supervise and mentor associates on case matters.
    • Work closely with experts in relevant fields.
    • Assist in fact development and conduct depositions.
    • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
    • Help develop comprehensive case strategies.
    • Maintain responsive communication via phone calls and correspondence.
    • Adhere to firm policies and meet deadlines consistently.
    • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities as required by the job.
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
    • Extensive background in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
    • Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is advantageous.
    • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
    • Good business judgment and organizational abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Effective research and problem-solving abilities.
    • Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others persuasively.
    • Demonstrated management skills.
  • Education and Certifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized institutions.
    • Preferred additional degrees: MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology.
    • Candidates licensed to practice law in New York are encouraged to apply.
    • Must be admitted to practice in North Carolina.
