Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Riverside, CA, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to manage and litigate a diverse caseload of exciting cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in crafting case strategies, taking and defending depositions, drafting motions, and pursuing resolutions through various legal processes.

Duties:

• Manage and litigate cases from inception through resolution with supervision as needed.
• Develop and implement effective case strategies.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Draft substantive motions, pleadings, and legal documents.
• Collaborate with staff, investigators, and experts on discovery and fact-finding.
• Pursue resolutions through motions for summary judgment, mediation, and trial.
• Handle a caseload encompassing various practice areas, including civil rights, employment, tort, and other actions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend and represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
• Proven experience in managing and litigating cases in diverse practice areas.
• Strong track record in handling depositions, drafting motions, and conducting discovery.
• Experience in pursuing resolutions through summary judgment, mediation, or trial.
