Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Salt Lake City, UT. This role requires an attorney with strong analytical skills, a keen ability to research, and excellent writing capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring litigation experience and be licensed to practice in the state of Utah.

Duties:

• Represent clients in various civil litigation matters, managing cases from inception through resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Provide effective counsel to clients by offering strategic advice based on legal research and case facts.
• Participate in discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review.
• Appear in court, representing clients in hearings, motions, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Work closely with internal legal teams and clients to prepare for litigation and settlement discussions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in civil litigation, with a track record of managing cases through different stages of litigation.
• Strong research and analytical abilities, with the capability to handle complex legal issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and presenting cases.
• Licensed to practice law in Utah.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in the State of Utah.

Skills:

• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
