Job Overview:
A well-established immigration law firm in the Cambridge area is seeking an Intake Attorney to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a client-facing role that blends legal knowledge with strong interpersonal and sales skills. As an Intake Attorney, you will focus on engaging with potential clients, identifying their needs, and providing them with the appropriate immigration services. No legal work is required in this position. Instead, you will leverage your legal expertise and sales abilities to drive business development and client relationships.

Duties:

  • Engage with prospective clients to promote immigration services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Apply basic knowledge of immigration law to guide clients toward suitable services.
  • Utilize sales strategies to meet and exceed targets, driving firm growth.
  • Maintain accurate client records and manage leads using the firm’s CRM software.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure a smooth transition for clients.
  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients, addressing questions and concerns effectively.
  • Ensure client inquiries are handled promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Active U.S. legal license (any state).
  • Proven experience in sales, client relations, or similar roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage clients.
  • Willingness to learn about immigration law or a background in the field.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in a second language (Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, or Mandarin preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications:

  • Active U.S. State Bar membership (any state).

Skills:

  • Strong sales and client service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new information and apply it effectively.
