Attorney needed for Dallas office

Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Attorney to manage and litigate personal injury cases, particularly those involving commercial motor vehicles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cases from pre-litigation through trial.

Job Duties:

• Handle and manage files from signup through trial, including pre-litigation and litigation phases.
• Work up pre-litigation files through pre-suit negotiations.
• Manage litigation files from filing lawsuits to trial, including drafting discovery and conducting depositions.
• Regularly interact with clients, adjusters, staff, and other lawyers in person and via phone.
• Lead a litigation team of 5+ people and a pre-litigation team of 2-3.
• Litigate cases independently from start to finish.
• Maintain a strong work ethic with a keen attention to detail.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment and supervise team members.

Requirements:

• Admission to some or all Texas federal courts.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in personal injury litigation.
• Experience in pre-litigation case management and negotiation.
• Proficiency in handling cases involving commercial motor vehicles.
• Willingness to expand trial skills and knowledge, with trial experience preferred.
• Membership in the Texas Bar in good standing.
• Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

• Board certification or willingness to obtain certification in truck accident law.
• Experience in commercial litigation cases.
• Previous experience in litigating trucking and other commercial motor vehicle cases.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
