Duties:

  • Draft, review, and argue motions and pleadings in commercial litigation cases.
  • Take and defend depositions, including preparing witnesses and handling complex examination techniques.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and developments.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to provide high-quality legal services.
  • Stay current with changes in relevant laws and legal precedents.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Strong background in drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and developing case strategies.
  • Proficiency in drafting various pleadings and legal documents.
  • Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Admission to practice in Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of commercial litigation procedures and strategies.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
