Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with substantial courtroom experience and strong analytical abilities. The ideal candidate will have superior academic credentials from a top-tier law school and at least 3 years of litigation experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Handle all phases of the litigation process from inception through trial, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and appeals.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters.
• Maintain client relationships and provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Alabama or eligibility for admission by motion.
• 3+ years of experience in civil litigation at a law firm.
• Strong substantive writing skills with demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Superior academic credentials with a record of high academic achievement.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certification in trial advocacy or related field is a plus.
