Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Saint Petersburg, FL, is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, focusing on general liability, construction, and/or product liability cases. This role requires hands-on experience managing cases from start to finish and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload involving litigation matters, primarily in general liability, construction, and/or product liability.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar and in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with defense experience.
  • Proven track record of handling cases independently from inception through resolution.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in general liability, construction, and/or product liability litigation.
  • Demonstrated interest in advancing litigation skills and legal knowledge.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
