Job Overview: A law firm in Doylestown, PA, is seeking a skilled Litigation and Transactional Law Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal advice in litigation and transactional matters, representing clients in various legal proceedings and drafting essential legal documents.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel clients in civil and business litigation matters.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
  • Draft and file pleadings with Pennsylvania state and Federal courts.
  • Take and defend depositions, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with litigation practice group members to achieve successful case outcomes.
  • Assist firm partners in litigation practice group matters.
  • Serve as first or second chair in trials and provide trial preparation and assistance.
  • Conduct proficient legal research to support case strategies.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel businesses and clients in transactional matters.
  • Draft and negotiate various commercial contracts and other legal documents.
  • Negotiate with counterparties and advise on corporate governance matters.
  • Create legal entities and handle mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and commercial leases.
  • Identify potential legal issues related to business practices and policies, advising staff and management.
  • Preferably have experience in Eastern PA counties, including Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware.
  • Licensing or experience in Mid-Atlantic states (New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and the District of Columbia) is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar and in good standing.
  • 4-5 years of experience practicing litigation and transactional law.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills; experience with law practice management software and document management systems is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and a desire to advance within the firm.

Education, Certifications, and Skills:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar and in good standing.
  • 4-5 years of experience in litigation and transactional law.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent computer skills; familiarity with law practice management software and document management systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a litigation practice group.
