Job Overview: A law firm in Jupiter, FL, is seeking a Trust and Estate Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of litigation related to trust and estate matters, working independently or with supervision to achieve client objectives.

Job Duties:

  • Handle or assist with all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, research, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, evidentiary hearings, and trials.
  • Develop litigation strategies with other attorneys to effectively achieve client goals.
  • Manage cases from inception to completion, ensuring timely and efficient progress.
  • Effectively manage multiple clients and matters concurrently.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and assistants to deliver high-quality legal services.
  • Delegate tasks to and supervise paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and written products.
  • Prepare written discovery requests and responses.
  • Manage the production, receipt, and review of written and electronic discovery.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and developments.
  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain high standards of organization and attention to detail.
  • Operate independently with self-motivation while also functioning well within a team.
  • Utilize document management and time management software effectively.
  • Possess full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and PDF).
  • Apply strong analytic and legal problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally high-stress environment.
  • Uphold confidentiality and exercise discretion in all client matters.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school with an outstanding academic record.
  • Admitted to and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a litigation practice.
  • Preferably have experience in trust and estate litigation.
  • Familiarity with electronic discovery platforms.
  • Experience with Coyote and iManage is a plus.
