A law firm seeks an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its expanding Private Client practice in Manchester, NH. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of attorneys on complex estate planning, tax planning, and trust administration matters. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated wealth transfer strategies. This role provides flexibility for hybrid or remote work arrangements.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on comprehensive estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, including the transfer of closely-held business interests.
  • Work with high-net-worth individuals, families, and their financial advisors to manage complex estate and trust matters.
  • Draft estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and related instruments.
  • Assist clients with asset protection planning and charitable giving strategies.
  • Manage a volume of pre-existing cases while collaborating with the team on new client matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
  • Prior experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Strong ability to manage a high-volume practice independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Experience in asset protection planning and charitable giving is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Hampshire, or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in complex trust and estate matters.
  • Proficiency in tax planning strategies and wealth transfer methods.
