A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its growing personal injury practice in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients navigate their personal injury cases, with or without prior experience in the field. This full-time position offers an opportunity to focus on providing excellent legal representation while working with a supportive team in a dynamic, client-focused environment. Duties:

  • Represent clients in personal injury cases, monitoring treatment, and negotiating with insurance companies and medical providers.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and offering legal guidance throughout their case journey.
  • Handle complex cases independently while also collaborating with other attorneys and support staff to ensure optimal case outcomes.
  • Manage case documentation, ensuring all necessary approvals and client contacts are completed promptly.
  • Lead negotiations to secure favorable settlements for clients.
  • Provide leadership within the firm, setting a strong example for teamwork and client service.
  • Maintain keen attention to detail in case management, ensuring all aspects of the case are handled efficiently.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and pursue growth in the personal injury law field.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina or South Carolina State Bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of legal experience is preferred, though personal injury experience is not required.
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation to manage a caseload and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and case management skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude that aligns with the firm's values and culture.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina or South Carolina State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
