A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have exceptional research and writing skills, the ability to work independently, and strong advocacy abilities. This position offers the opportunity to engage in challenging intellectual property and patent litigation cases.

 

Job Details:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on intellectual property and patent matters.
  • Draft and prepare various legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice to clients on intellectual property issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to develop case strategies.
  • Stay abreast of developments in intellectual property law and related regulations.
  • Assist with due diligence for intellectual property transactions.
  • Participate in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
  • Engage in client development initiatives, including presentations and meetings.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the State Bar.
  • 3-7 years of experience in intellectual property and/or patent litigation.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Superior writing and communication skills.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.
